Our History
Evan Evanovich, Penn State Horticulturist and Landscape Designer, was born and raised locally in Bethel Park. He grew up learning and working in the landscape and hardscape business, along side his father Frank. Learning the importance of hard work and a strong drive, Evan knew the key tools he needed to be successful.
Once Evan graduated college, he decided to follow his dream and work in the landscape world. Evan realized that there was not a Garden Center / Landscape Center that was built from an education and artistic point of view, and wanted to create something unique. And so, The Landscape Center was born. 38 years ago, Evan saw the need for a garden center that would be both an educational place to teach customers about plant identification, disease, and treatment, but also a place where landscape can become art. Once The Landscape Center became established, it morphed into a creative landscape design company. Today, Evan and his 2 sons, along with their fantastic crew, create some of the most beautiful landscapes in all of the South Hills of Pittsburgh.

Evan & Carolyn Evanovich
Evan Evanovich and his wife Carolyn take pride in the quality and innovation of their company, The Landscape Center. Evan, from his knowledge of horticulture and landscape design from Penn State University, has created a educational and artistic space for people to learn about design and plants.

Derrick & Devan Evanovich
Ever since Derrick and Devan Evanovich were kids, they knew they wanted to be just like their father and grandfather. Assisting and learning about landscaping alongside Evan Evanovich, and his father Frank, Derrick and Devan knew they would be taught the key skills to be successful.
Derrick attended the University of Maryland, receiving a degree in Agriculture and Resource Economics, while Devan followed in his fathers footsteps and attended Penn State University, receiving a degree in Human Resource Business Management. Derrick and Devan both have a high level of knowledge about landscaping and horticulture, taught by their father, so pursuing business was the next best step.
Now, as 3rd generation landscapers, Derrick and Devan lead the crew for The Landscape Center by Evanovich.
